This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the baristas are super friendly and, most importantly for me, they cold brew their iced coffee and let pets in. They have fantastic food too. The co-owners Wes and Zack are cycling enthusiasts to say the least. They have bike rentals there and fix bikes too. It's just an all around fun and comfortable place to hang out.

One of my favorite John Besh restaurants! The mussels and pommes frites are delicious. If you are a meat lover the hamburger is one of the best in the city. Be prepared to talk loudly if it's crowded, it does get a bit noisy. It's a short walk from my place.

Okay, this is not a New Orleans iconic restaurant but their salads ROCK! They cater to the business crowds and are not open on weekends, but if you're staying with me during the week and want a healthy meal, this is an awesome choice.

One of the "hippest" and most comfortable places downtown to hangout. It's my favorite place to meet people and relax. Ask if you could go up to the roof top, if they are not crowded they will let you go for free, otherwise there may be a fee. The scene is beautiful. Stump town Coffee Shop is connected to the bar, so if someone in your party feels like fantastic coffee it's right there! I'm watching' out for your coffee lovers. ;)
