we live in one of the most beautifully scenic areas in Scotland. just driving down the road you are surrounded by the most stunning vistas. If you walk up even the smallest hill your breath will be taken away by the views of lochs and mountains all around.
Here are a few of the most iconic and well known attractions that you might not want to miss!
Built in 1907 The Glenfinnan viaduct has long been one of our most popular visitor attractions'.
Since it was used as a film set for 'Harry Potter' this has be one one of the most popular attractions in the area.
My son was lucky enough to be chosen as one of 14 extras from High Lochaber High School who worked for 4 days on the film set of 'Prisoner of Azkaban' - riding the Hogwarts Express to Mallaig!
Unfortunately star dust did not rub off on the pupils - made famous in press as the 'extras who received no payment' despite their 4 days of long hours as the school kept the payment for its own funds!!
However an experience like no other, and one he will enjoy telling his own children about as they watch the movies!

From Cuil Bay Lodge it is a 5 minute walk to the beach - and you can do it every day you are here. Or walk further round the peninsula to visit the more secluded beaches and do some wild life spotting . We live here and love it. What more can I say!

These are a few of our favourite places, that we have either eaten at or have been recommended to us by friends or visiting guests. There are many restaurants in the area and Oban is known as the 'Seafood Capital', though we have some of the best seafood restaurants almost on our doorstep.
