Neighbourhoods
Ahuntsic-Cartierville is in the northern part of the city. It is quite quiet and mostly residential.
About 35-40min from downtown Montreal (by car). The neighborhood is quite safe (people do walk their dogs at 9pm) but i wouldn't leave my door unlocked. Fleury street where we are located offers lots of local shops and restaurants from different cultures (asian, italian, african, creole, etc.), people around nice and friendly :)

If you like the outdoor and enjoy walks, Parc des Hirondelles is just a block away and is really nice. You can walk around, have fun in the playground if you have kids or just enjoy watching a soccer game on the weekend.
