By taxi/Grab taxi (best option)

Option 1) By taxi/Grab taxi (best option) Given how cheap taxis are in Davao, I'd say this is the best way for visitors to get around the city Fare: Taxis fares start at 40 pesos ($0.8USD) and goes up around 15 pesos ($0.3USD) per km. Most trips in the city will cost you just $1-$2USD. As I talked about here, even a trip to the airport will cost you only just $3-$6USD All taxis are metered in Davao. They have a reputation in Philippines for being honest, but I would still suggest that you make sure the meter is on Note that taxis do not take credit cards for payment. It's cash only.

samal island tourist destination

Since Samal Island doesn't have its own airport, the main jump-off point is Davao City. Here are some ways on how to get to Samal Island via Davao City. By Ferry From Davao City, take two connecting jeepney rides or book a transfer going to Sta. Ana Wharf. From there, take the Palboros passenger ferry boat going to Kaputian Beach in Samal Island. The boat trip lasts 40 minutes. By Bus Island City Express is the lone bus line that services the route of Davao City and Samal Island. Your bus fare is already inclusive of the ferry fee. You can take this bus from Agdao in Davao City.
