The wine itself is one of the only truly native grapes to the US, and we embrace it. Remaining true to our predecessors Southern roots, we grow muscadine grapes, a fruit native to the Southeastern United States. We produce authentic muscadine wine, five different labels from four varieties of grapes (we've provided the Irvin-House Vineyard name for ease of finding your favorite): NEW!!! Mead-ival Festival - This is our “renaissance of mead” featuring our Bears Bluff Meadery branded beverages including a special debut of three new bottled meads and some of our favorite drafts as well as renaissance themed food, vendors, and events for your enjoyment. We’re looking forward to this one, y’all. Put May 21st, 2022 on your calendar! Grape Stomp Festival - Our popular Lucille Ball look-a-like and grape stomp contests mark the start the fall - taking place on August 27th, 2022 Blessing of the Vines Festival - We bless the vines for the dormant season at our Boots, Bottles, and a Blessing Festival, one that is very special for us - November 12th, 2022

The Charleston RiverDogs enjoyed a memorable and historic season in 2021. Fans were welcomed back to the ballpark after a lengthy absence and the team won the first championship in franchise history. The goal for 2022 is simple: Do it all over again, but bigger and better. The team announced that single-game tickets for the 2022 campaign will be available online at riverdogs.com starting at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8. Once again, all tickets will be received digitally and accessible on a mobile device. “Single-game tickets going on sale is always much-anticipated as the offseason comes to a close and we begin to ramp up toward another season.,” said RiverDogs President and General Manager Dave Echols. “It’s really exciting that, for the first time as an organization, we can put tickets on sale as defending champions. We are looking forward to continuing our championship celebration with the Charleston community as the new season gets underway."

1670, the first English colonists landed on this spot, just across the Ashley River from downtown Charleston, and promptly named their new town for King Charles II. Charles Towne Landing's exhibits expertly re-create what life was like for those early settlers: the fort they built, the wooden palisade wall they erected to keep out enemies, the crops they planted to feed their colony, and a full-size replica of a 17th-century cargo vessel, one they would have used to ferry supplies and provisions. There's also an animal forest where you can see native species that the settlers would have encountered in their new home at South Carolina's first colonial settlement. Recommended for Outdoor Activities because: This National Historic Site is located just a short drive from downtown, and is the site of the first permanent European settlement in the Carolinas. Check the Charles Towne Landing website for special events such as musket-firing demonstrations and family movie nights in summer.
