My personal favorite place to get a drink. The owner remodeled it into a nice local watering hole from a run down dive. It still has a ton of charm, a pool table, and friendly bartenders.

Juneau's busiest city park. The sand is a byproduct of crushed rock from the old mining days. Great place for a stroll. Be sure to walk through the trails past the log cabin shelters and check out the information plaques that tell you about the old mining days.

Quick and easy hiking trail at the end of North Douglas Highway. Signage is good can't miss it. It's about a mile each way or less and goes straight to the ocean.

In the summer you can take the East Glacier Trail and stop by Nugget Falls on the way. More adventurous folks can take the West Glacier Trail and make a day of it, hiking overland to the glacier and ice caves.
