Shortway Brewing is a perfect place to wind down in the evening during your stay! They have amazing craft beers and even homemade soda for the non alcoholic drinkers. Go out back and take a load off at the fire pit, play some corn hole, enjoy the food truck (when there) or have DoorDash or UberEats deliver to you. Make sure to try the homemade Mamasitas tortilla chips and homemade dips as well!

In addition to the fully restored fort, the park offers visitors both soundside and surf fishing, nature trails, ranger guided tours, a protected swim area, a refreshment stand, and a bathhouse.

In addition to the fully restored fort, the park offers visitors both soundside and surf fishing, nature trails, ranger guided tours, a protected swim area, a refreshment stand, and a bathhouse.
Take a quick ferry ride over to Cape Lookout lighthouse or a stop at Shackleford Island to see the ponies! While you're there you can also rent an ATV to explore all the island has to offer and collect as many shells as you can carry!
