Great food and cocktails and with a lovely, cosy atmosphere. Fantastic little place, situated in the middle of West Linton’s Main Street.
The Pyet also offer rolls and deli items for takeaway during the day.

The Flotterstone Inn
This is the local pub/hotel in Carlops. There is a lot of local history within its walls. Well worth some research. Unfortunately the pub is closed at the moment but hopefully will reopen once a new lease holder has been found.

Neighbourhoods
Quiet village with a historical pub (sadly this is closed at the moment though), only 5 minutes walk but there are no shops here. There is however, the Witches Rock or Carlin’s Loup which is worth a look. The area information board is also in the car park below the rock.

Sightseeing
Amazing glacial meltwater channel situated right behind the railway hut.
The gully has some amazing rock features (Peaked Craig is a great picnic spot) and Jenny Barrie’s Cove (The Witches’ Cave) is situated there also.
The area is steeped in local history.
Please always remember to respect our countryside and the animals there.
Avoid approaching any livestock/wildlife and be extremely careful at all times not to disturb any.
