A short loop hike to a beautiful bluff that is less than 10 miles from the cabin. It is less than 2 miles in hike length so good for the entire family and groups. The terrain is not paved so adventurous moms have the option to carry babies via baby carrier on the walk.

If you drive through Bourbon to 44 it is a beautiful scenic 40 minute drive to the winery! A quaint, charismatic winery with GREAT staff and prices. You can bring a picnic basket which I recommend, they do sell a few cheeses and things of that nature.

This is a campground, but they offer $40 day floats and a $10 day pass for river sittin'. They offer to pick up from our cabin for $10 a person, groups of 10 or more.

The closest convenience store to the cabin at about 2 miles away. It's not much to look at but they do offer toiletries, paper goods, booze, lighters, tylenol etc, and good hot food. We keep a menu at the cabin, I recommend calling in your food ahead of time. If you drive 25 minutes into Sullivan, they have everything from fast food, to sit down dining, Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Aldi, and a myriad of other stores and cafes.
