Our Recommendation on Getting Around Phuket
1. Renting a car - recommended if you're traveling in groups. Rentals usually start at THB 1,500 per day.
2. Renting a motorbike - recommended if you have experience riding a motorbike in Thailand and familiar with the roads.
3. Taxis and Grab - recommended for groups of 3-4, you can hail taxis all around town, though most of them will not be metered and you'll have to negotiate a fare with them. If you want a fair price, we recommend downloading Grab (a ride-hailing app) on to your mobile device.

Beach Essentials - don't forget your SPF! Thailand's sun is bright and strong. You'd want a tan, but not sunburn! A beach towel might also come in handy if you don't want to rent the beach lounges along the beaches. And of course, don't forget your swimsuit!
