Food scene

This restaurant is something Unique! The name is Spesial Sambal which literally means Chilli Paste Specialist, so as what it said, they serve 35 types of Chilli Paste from the special traditional recipes comes from all over Indonesia. All the food that are served here are freshly cooked so it might take some time to wait for the food, but all the foods here are so delicious!!! Most of the foods are either fried or grilled, but they all tasted amazing, my personal faves on the lists : Sambal Cumi (Squid Chilli Paste), Jamur crispy (Crispy fried Mushroom), Udang goreng (Fried Shrimp), Lele Bakar (Grilled Catfish), Tahu Goreng (Fried tofu), Cah kangkung (Sauteed Kale), Kobis Goreng (Fried Cabbage), Terong Tepung (Fried Eggplant), Sayur Asem (Sour Soup). There's gotta be at least 2-3 people to finish all that list lol ^^ For the drink i recommend Jus nangka (Jackfruit juice), Jus Semangka (Watermelon Juice), Jus Sirsak (Soursoup Juice). Omg i am hungry writing these list T.T Feel free to check out their official website for a fuller look on their menu https://www.waroengss.com/article/products-list I guarantee, that in here you will be able to experience eating like a local, sit on the floor with a low table and eat the foods with hand! (Don't worry though they also have normal sitting area and eating utensils!) but i recommend try to do it the local way ^^ THIS IS A MUST VISIT RESTAURANT! Please come early before lunch time or dinner time because you would expect a hella long line! This restaurant is very popular and very very very worth to visit, just be careful with the spicyness!! Indonesian spice tolerance is very high, so be mindful before ordering any of the chilli paste! ^^ They also sell ice cream so don't worry if anything is too hot for you~
This is the perfect place if you wanna try the most authentic Indonesian "daily life" foods that Indonesian moms/grandmas made in the kitchen for their family, this one is every local go to restaurant! ^^ The foods are amazingly good yet so simple and affordable! definitely must visit~

Historical Site

Bajra means Bell and Sandhi indicate as holy. When you see the monument building shape, the shape does look like the Holy Bell used by Hindu priest while chanting a mantra in a prayer ceremony. The monument built to dedicated the struggle of Balinese people during the war against the Dutch colonial. The aim of the Dutch colonial invade and wage war on Balinese people is to make an occupation of Bali island. The monument is located in front of the Bali Governor's Office in Renon, Denpasar. The monument was built in 1987, inaugurated by president Megawati Sukarnoputri on June 14, 2003. First Floor On the first floor, there is a fish ponds, handicrafts, library, administrative rooms, exhibition halls, and well-maintained toilets for visitors. In the center of the building, there are four steps, whichever you can use to climb to the 2nd floor. Second Floor On the second floor of the monument is a museum that represents the Balinese people history from prehistoric times, the development of civilization, the history of Bali Kingdom development. The history of Hindu religion in Bali also present on the museum, from the time of Rsi Markendaya (Balinese Hindu High Priest) and construction of Major Balinese Hindu Temple. The museum also presents the history in the era of the Balinese people struggles to seize independence against Dutch colonial. The story of Balinese people struggles to gain independence depicted in 33 dioramas. Therefore this monument is also often referred to as Bajra Sandhi museum. While on the Bajra Sandi second floor, there is a spiral staircase to get to the third floor, and it feels a little dizzy while climbing it. Third Floor On the third floor of the monument building, there is a large room and surrounded by glass windows. From this third floor building, you can see a 360-degree view of Denpasar city and its surroundings. Surely you will not see skyscrapers in Denpasar because the government regulations ban building with higher than 30 meters.
This monument is in Lapangan Puputan Renon area which is a city park, so you will see many people spend their time with family here, either for picnic or just doing workout. If you have an interest in Bali history, then it will require 1 hours duration to explore all the unique point of Bajra Sandhi. However, base on my personal opinion, the sole main point of Bajra Sandhi is on the exotic Balinese architecture and the history behind it.

Sightseeing

This beach is my favourite beach ever in Bali! No, it doesn't have pure tosca-blue water. But it has another charm, it located next to the airport which mean we can always see airplanes taking off the ground and when it touched down. Also, this beach is filled with locals activity, mostly the fishermen!
I love seeing sunset by the beach, after my eyes i saw small traditional fishermen boat sailing within the horizon. With no tourist around, just locals spending their time playing football by the beach lol. I really recommend this beach to anyone!!!

Download Online Taxi & Online Motorbike Taxi Application

Indonesia has it's own online transportation called "Gojek" where the fare is far more affordable compare to the local taxi that you can find on the road, most of the local taxi doesn't have meters on their car so they would likely to charge you higher than the online taxi, by higher i mean like 10x times pricier! So i recommend to download "Gojek" application, or "Grab" application for your transportation in Bali.

Learn Little Balinese language!

Indonesia has over 17,500+ islands and Bali is only one of them. Interestingly, each city in Indonesia has it's own language and by that i mean a completely different language. Balinese also has one language, called Balinese language (obviously). Here are some of the phrases that might be useful during your trip! rahajeng semeng = good morning rahajeng sanje = good afternoon rahajeng wengi = good evening kenken kabare = how are you? becik – becik = i am good! matur suksema = Thank you! mewali = You're welcome! Aji kuda niki? = how much is this? Dados kirang nggih? = can i get lower price?
