My husband and really enjoyed our visit. The castle is used in lots of drama's. You can also enjoy a great walk in the area and there is also The Engine Yard which is a small cafe restaurant shopping yard. However be careful were you park. The did give out tickets.

Burghley often run a number of weekend events from the Famous 5 Star horse trails early Sept. to music concerts xmas fairs . A stunning house and Stamford is a beautiful town in one and a half hours drive but it's truly worth the day trip you would not be disappointed. Do check out Burghley house website for events.

Its run by a team of volunteers who watch over the seals and can answer any questions you may have. There is a large carpark and a foot patch to follow the seals can only be a metre from the patch with there young.
