The Joshua Tree House is a two bed two bath 1949 hacienda located 10 minutes from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park in Joshua Tree, CA. This is a place for dreamers to reset, reflect, and create. Designed with a 'slow' pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay; from making local coffee by drip in the morning, choosing the perfect record to put on as the sun sets, or by relaxing in the hot tub surrounded by over 100 Joshua Trees and a starry night sky.

This house is very close to downtown Joshua Tree with many shops and restaurants about a 10 minute walk from the house. This also means that some sound from the highway can be heard. With over 100 Joshua Trees on the property, the views from the house are magical. If you're up for it, sunrise on the front porch is incredible. We estimate that some of the larger Joshua Trees on the property are as old as our country! *Mattresses and Bedding by Casper* There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the house, and works well for a group of friends, two couples, or small families. We can also set up an extra memory foam mattress in the hammock room (has privacy with pocket sliding doors) to accommodate groups of six.

Joshua Tree is a small community made up of musicians, artists, and explorers. In the village you will find locally owned and run restaurants, art galleries, music venues, and vintage shops. There are many wonderful places to visit during your stay at the house including the Joshua Tree National Park, Pappy & Harriet's, the Integratron, Salvation Mountain, the Salton Sea, Noah Purifoy Outdoor Museum, Crossroads, BKB Ceramics, and la Copine (a delicious new french restaurant in the desert).

Thank you in advance! *** The restored cabin, which has been featured in the New York Times 'T' travel magazine, Wilder Quarterly, The Weekender and the book 'Jackrabbit Homestead,' was constructed in 1955 and still has its original green paint. The renovated interior has a cookware-outfitted kitchen and dining area. There is an outhouse with a dry toilet and roofless shower a few yards from the cabin. Wireless internet is available if you require a connection to the digital world. The cabin is equipped with air conditioning. Joshua Tree National Park is a 15 minute drive from the cabin. The Integratron and Giant Rock are also 15 minutes away. The cabin is less than two miles from artist Noah Purifoy's famous sculpture garden site. Two miles in the other direction is Dhamma Dena, a Vipassana Buddhist retreat center. The always swinging Pappy & Harriet's BBQ and music roadhouse in beautiful Pioneertown is a 30-minute drive. The Lou Harrison House, which hosts occasional devotional, folk and avant garde music events in an intimate setting is less than 10 minutes away. We will be happy to give you directions to each of these unique places (and many others) that we frequent ourselves. The cabin sits on 5 acres, and feels remote, but it's just 12 minutes from downtown Joshua Tree. You will travel a few miles on a secure, hard dirt road to get here. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic sunset and sunrise—as well as a blanket of stars. Sleep comfortably in a queen-sized bed. The cabin is located next to BLM land and a wildlife corridor, which means you will witness these wild animals in their native habitat. The cottontail rabbits, cactus wrens, lizards, desert tortoises, jackrabbits, coyotes, owls and roadrunners (and more!) that make the desert their home make a visit to this serene cabin all the more special.

The Land Yacht is a 31 foot Classic Airstream "Land Yacht" trailer that has been converted into a fully functional glamping unit. Please read my full listing description before booking. NOTE - The Stock Tank Pool is not a hot tub, it is not heated, and in the winter the water is freezing cold, so as such we drain, and store it away for the winter, From Dec. 1st to April 1st. Another important thing to note - Given that the Airstream Land Yacht is so much within nature, that nature is always trying to get inside the Land Yacht (they know it's cozy in there). And although we make every effort to make sure that little friends don't get in the Airstream, its a constant battle. So if you are staying there do NOT leave food out at all. Keep your food in the fridge when you go out or go to bed. Do not leave the door of the airstream open all night, or you will likely have visitors. And I really have to make a point here as I have had to deal with several extremely unrealistic guests regarding the nature here. So know this, if you see a mouse, a rat, a bat, a bug, a snake, a tarantula, a scorpion, or any other numerous types of animals here, either outside the Airstream or even inside of it (as people leave doors open constantly..) if you see any animals that you don't like or are scared of and you then come to me demanding some kind of refund, you will NOT be refunded. By booking this listing you are accepting that this area is the home of all these creatures and it is you who is the guest in their home. So if you see a mouse or anything other creature, it is not a symptom of some sort of unsanitary conditions (like in the city), it is simply that one of the many creatures has gotten inside the Airstream one way or another, it is certainly not likely that this will happen, but it is certainly possible, and while we make every effort to seal up entry points and stop creatures from getting in, it is not possible to stop them 100%. And we are not in the business of trying to exterminate the local wildlife, indeed we want to have as little impact as possible. So if you are going to have an issue with any of the above, then this is not the listing for you! I'll say it again.. The Desert is the Home of these Animals and you are the Guest in Their home. There's alot of copy-cat Airstream setups out there nowadays, but you don't have to share your bathroom, shower, or kitchen with anyone else here. The Land Yacht is in one of the most spectacular and unique locations in all of Joshua Tree, on the south-side of the Hwy, up on a hill, at the edge of the National Park, with stunning surroundings and views. It feels extremely remote, yet the highway is only a couple of minutes drive down the hill and Joshua Tree's downtown center is just another 10 minutes west, and the main National Park entrance just another 10 minutes from there. The Land Yacht has a large deck and wrap around seating area built alongside it, for true indoor/outdoor living experience, and a super refreshing large stock tank pool (April 1st-Dec. 1st) Note- Please read my entire description of this listing prior to booking. The Airstream itself has a front sleeping area with a Queen Bed, full kitchen with large refrigerator. There is a dining area in the middle along with a single Bunk Bed. The dining area also can convert into an additional bunk bed. The Land Yacht has AC that will cool the Airstream off nicely after about 20 min or so. (from May till September the temperatures here range from the 80's to the low 100's, so take that into account, and please always try to use the AC as sparingly as possible) Heating in the LY during the winter is provided by a portable space-heater that will heat the space up fairly well after about 20 min or so. Again, use sparingly as possible. There is a hot water shower inside the Airstream, along with the private bathroom located at the rear of the trailer. The Land Yacht is best suited for the more adventurous traveller, and those seeking something out of the ordinary. Please be realistic and give a moment's thought about whether you are that sort of person and will be happy staying in a vintage Airstream travel trailer in the middle of the Mojave Desert, with all that that entails. While this is not camping, it is not like being in hotel or a house either. Call it Glamping, or Airstreaming, or whatever you like. But the point is, it's basically a higher end camping experience, and prospective guests should be sure that that kind of experience is the right fit for them. If all that sound fun to you, then great! You will love it here! Please just plan accordingly, its a good idea to bring a flashlight just to have, and maybe bring an extra favorite blanket or two along for your stay to assure maximum coziness, in particular if you are going to be more than the 2 people that the queen bed accommodates. The Land Yacht is really set up for 2 guests, a couple ideally, or a couple with little kids. 4 adults in the Airstream is doable, but it is definitely a full house, and is not so recommended, unless you are happy to be at close quarters with your fellow travellers. We provide bedding for the main Queen bed, make a note of that please, as anyone planning to sleep on either of the extra single bunk beds should plan on bringing a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow of their own. The large Stock Tank Pool on the deck, has a powerful filter and pump built into it to keep the water clean and filtered. It also will creates a nice cascading water sound when you turn it on that is pretty soothing. Take a dunk in between sun and drinks or soak and refresh after a long hike in the Park during hotter weather. Please note, the pool will be drained and put away for the winter starting Dec 1st until April 1st, as it gets too cold to use it during the winter time here. Also on this property as you first enter it, is the Time Machine house, which I also listed on Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/4551257 The house is on the front portion of the property and is a fair distance away from the Land Yacht and guests at either space will retain their privacy. Situated further up at the back corner of the property, is the site of the Land Yacht's twin sister, the Airstream Rock Yacht that could be booked on its own or in combination with the LY for larger groups. To the east is a vast expanse of open desert and boulder formations, and mountains. Immediately to the south is the National Park boundary. To the North are vast open views of the Sunfair dry lake and the mesas beyond. To the west are view of the mountains leading up to Big Bear. There are a total of 3 neighboring houses, only one of which is occupied full-time and one is not occupied at all. They are all a fair distance away from where the Land Yacht is situated. I mention this only because I have noticed that a few guests were surprised that there was anything else at all in the area, instead thinking that it was completely isolated in the middle of nothing. To be clear that is not the case, but it is extremely private(probably even more so than one of the camp sites in the park) and set against wide open nature. Note Regarding Photo Shoots - We do alot of film and photo production here, so.. If you are a Professional/Commercial photo or film shoot attempting to book this property, I do not accept shoot booking via Airbnb unless directly agreed to in writing by me, and industry standard location fee rates will apply. You can message me directly and I will negotiate a fair rate based on what you are shooting and how big your crew is going to be, and how much equipment, etc, etc. But do not attempt to bring a photo shoot production/or crew in here secretly, without my expressed permission. This neighborhood of Panorama heights is one of the best areas to be in all of Joshua Tree, and Joshua Tree in general is a really amazing and special place, some call it a vortex spot. If you believe that there are special unique places in the world with an extra special something then you know what that means, if you don't believe in that kinda stuff then you might after visiting! When you book, along with check in instructions; you will be sent my list of local suggestion of great things to see and do in Joshua Tree and the surrounding area. Our cabin is located in the quaint village of Joshua Tree, nearly walking distance to entertainment, restaurants, shopping, hiking, and only a 5 minute drive to the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park.

The Joshua Tree Green House is a beautiful vacation retreat located at Sun Mesa Heights close to Joshua Tree National Park. Enjoy an amazing 180 degree view of the Park, Mt. San Jacinto and Mt. Gorgonio as well as the spectacular night sky while soaking in our outdoor hot tub. The retreat is a 2 bedroom, 1 ½ bathroom house sleeping 2-6. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a large counter height work surface for the creative and a lounge seat next to the large window overlooking the valley. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and enjoys a quiet view of our rock garden and private outdoor area. The living room has a comfortable queen size pull out sofa bed. Families are very welcome. We provide a pack'n play and high seat for the smallest guests. Pets are welcome to our home for a 25 Dollar pet fee. Go for a hike from the house up to Bartlet Mountain or just relax, read a book from our library or play some games with friends or kids. The retreat is equipped with indoor and outdoor spas. Either soak with your friends and/ or family enjoying the view or just relax by candle light indoors. Dome in the Desert rests on multiple acres and is secluded from neighbors, yet it’s conveniently located only a few miles from the Joshua Tree town center, restaurants, and entertainment. Nearby landmarks include Joshua Tree Saloon, Joshua Tree National Park, and Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum. The best way to get around Joshua Tree is by car.

The house was originally built in the 1940s and is located in the 'Joshua Tree Village' on Park Blvd, the road that leads into the National Park. If you're into history - it is one of the original structures in Joshua Tree!

The place is within walking distance to town, the Saloon, the National Park Visitor's Center, Coyote Corner Gift Shop, Crossroads Cafe, Park Rock Cafe, the Farmer's market, the Thai restaurant, Antique stores, the works. It's a 3 minute drive to the National Park Main Entrance and a great space to enjoy seeing it all at your own pace (the Park pass is good for 7 days so you come and go as much as you want). We're about 15 minutes to Pioneertown, Pappy & Harriet's, and Integratron. The house has an awesome kitchen with lots of space, a table for 4, concrete countertops, dishwasher and fridge, gas range and oven, everything you'd need to cook, and sliding glass doors leading out onto a courtyard. There is a small small bedroom with a queen sized bed (blue curtains), as well as 'the nook' with a full sized bed (tan curtains). We have a stereo system for music, great wifi, brand new 4K tv with HBO/Netflix. Outside of the plumbing, we renovated the place with love for 7 months and are very proud to say it is done! The Cowboy Pool is all properly plumbed and filtered. It is typically a May-October thing. We just added a brand new year round Hot Tub to the house! The house has a guest house that is attached only on the outside, there is no shared space and the GH does not have access to the backyard/outdoorbed/pool. There are no chain-style shops aside from gas in Joshua Tree. For any larger needs you’ll need to drive to the town of Yucca Valley (10 minutes), which has all the stores you’ll need! Chic and Cozy Two Bedroom Joshua Tree house close to Park. This private home is in a very quiet neighbourhood with large yard and two outdoor dining areas. Close to town and close to JT National State Park. There is a Hot Tub for soaking under the stars in the backyard with a hammock nearby. Also a portable Bluetooth device that you can take around the house and listen to music, Filtered water, washer dryer, etc.

The studio Poolhouse is all about spartan glamour, it has a Queen-sized pillowtop bed in a cozy sleeping alcove; snuggle under the crisp white sheets and fall asleep to the views of the hills and stars. There is AC, shower, microwave, refrigerator, coffee-maker and dishes. The flat screen smart tv at the foot of your bed offers premium channels. We also provide WiFi internet access and full use of all the exterior spaces and amenities.

Our compound is nestled in the heart of Joshua Tree, and is walking distance to all shops, restaurants, bars and services. We offer a gracious vibe and are accommodating hosts. Swim in our vintage, newly resurfaced deep cool water pool; perfect for swimming laps or floating the day away. Enjoy our large fenced in gravel yard with a fire pit; and a carpeted star gazing area. There are two guest units on the property and a owner's unit. All share a shaded outdoor patio featuring several comfortable conversation and smoking areas (we are 420 FRIENDLY) dry bar, dining table and a grilling station. The Tiny House occupies the fenced and separated back portion of a larger property just a few minutes drive from the adorable town center of Joshua Tree. The home is faced North taking full advantage of the views of a large vacant area preserved by the Mojave Desert Land Trust. The yard is fully private and not in view of any neighbors nor is there any homes in the view. You may feel free to wander the vacant land.

The kitchen is equipped with all of the basics and the open floor layout allows for a warm, communal experience. We recently installed a brand new A/C unit + heater so your stay is as comfortable as possible. We love dogs! If you plan on bringing your dog(s), please continue reading for more information. :) Our bell tent was lacerated by high winds as of 11/26/19 and had to come down for safety. We've set up a teepee in its place. A new AIRBNB ordinance in Joshua Tree now prohibits outdoor tents for sleeping, but it's a cool hang out place during the day. The teepee is fully functioning and has a zip-in closure. There is a twin mattress set up inside. Please note that when it is actively raining outside, a bit of water can get in through the top.

The Airstream accommodates 2 adults. It has everything you need for a quiet magical getaway in the desert, including an additional bathhouse with an outdoor shower, and a gas grill on the patio. It is located only 5 minutes from the Joshua Tree National park and a 5 minute drive into town.

The Airstream is located in the Joshua Tree Highlands neighborhood of Joshua Tree, a short drive to the entrance of the Joshua Tree National Park. Because we are a little higher up than the valley we have amazing views of the mountains and Monument Valley. The Airstream is a 1976 Land Yacht that has been recently updated and decorated with love. We have a refrigerator, hot plate, sink, microwave and all the basics if you want to cook in. We have a coffee machine plus organic coffee too! Enjoy a good night of sleep on our comfy memory foam mattress and sit outside watching the star studded sky. The Airstream is equipped with an indoor toilet, and an AC/heater unit. We also have an amazing outdoor shower facing the valley and indoor bathhouse. We have a gray water system that supports our desert trees and the cactus garden and a solar panel that pumps water into the yard! There is no TV. The Airstream is on a shared property with our other rental, Desert View Hideaway. There is a privacy fence separating both units and they each have their own driveway. Desert View Hideaway is about 100 feet away and also sleeps 2 people so it's a pretty mellow compound. There's lots of wildlife in the neighborhood with jack rabbits, coyotes, roadrunners and the occasional bobcat. It's a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy the views!

Our neighborhood is remote. Most parcels are 5 acres and many are undeveloped. When you leave the main road to the Park, Quail Springs Road, the next two to three miles to get to our properties are on sandy, rutted roads. You don't necessarily need a 4-wheel drive vehicle, but you do need to drive slowly maneuvering around the ruts. The ruts are more pronounced after a rain. Please be alert to flash flood warnings. It is not advisable to drive around on these roads if there is a flash flood warning.

The Wanderer is newly remodeled with a modern theme in the heart of the Joshua Tree Village. It's a short 4 mile (11 minute) drive from the National Park Entrance and walking distance to the downtown area. Enjoy a hot tub dip under the stars. Be lazy and lay in the hammocks all day or night. Country Kitchen is perfect for a delicious diner Breakfast and home cooked meals. Crossroads Cafe is a breakfast and lunch hot spot with a wide range of options, including vegan/vegetarian options. Pie For The People is hands down the best pizza in town, the garlic knots are pretty tasty too! Natural Sisters is the vegetarian restaurant in Joshua Tree and has large portions and hearty salads. Joshua Tree Saloon is right down the street and a perfect spot for live music, drinks and be sure to have some BBQ or Mahi Mahi tacos. Cielito Lindo Retreat sits on a special piece of land within walking distance of downtown Joshua Tree (i.e. the Natural Sisters Cafe, Joshua Tree Roasting Company, the National Park Visitor Center, and the Joshua Tree Saloon), while bordering the Coyote Hole Conservation Area, a protected and less-visited slice of wildland home to coyotes, petroglyphs, and incredible boulder canyons waiting to be explored by you. Just ten minutes by car down the road, and you’re at the gateway to the National Park. Our home has three bedrooms, each with memory foam mattresses (Casper mattress in the Master) and cozy bedding. Each room is equipped with mini-split units for heating and air conditioning, so regardless of what’s happening outside, you can be comfortable on the inside. A She-Cave with a pull out couch can be used as a fourth bedroom - or a place to watch whatever your heart desires on a big screen TV. While we’re huge fans of enjoying the great outdoors, sometimes a day of hiking and sunset hot tub soaking is best capped up with Netflix and popcorn on the couch. The home has two full bathrooms - both with a white-cement, walk-in shower. The en-suite master bathroom also has a full-size tub, with a perfect view of the National Park mountain line and southern sky out an oversized window. A state of the art kitchen and mid-century dining room are the perfect place to cook up big brunches or dinners after exploring the park. Dine outside in the al fresco table that seats up to 16. A sitting room with plush couches is the perfect place for morning coffee as the sun rises in the landscape window at back. Our home is equipped with all of the finest creature comforts - a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, a bar cart, a bookshelf of books and games, and blazing fast wifi. A hot tub sunken into an infinity deck looks out into Coyote Hole, and is the perfect place to watch the sunset, the moon rise, or the Milky Way flicker on. Take an outdoor shower - with hot or cold water - before, during, or after your tubbing. Our home is on Coyote Hole, a quiet conservation area that acts as a wildlife corridor for coyotes, jackrabbits, and other wildlife. WIthin 10 minutes walking out the back door, you can find 1,500-year-old petroglyphs, on the level of what you would see miles deep into the National Park. Local legend is that this area served as a Native American children’s hospital, evidenced with stones and offerings found from tribal communities around the US. We live in a semi-rural desert landscape near the edge of Joshua Tree National Parks. The last 1 - 1-1/2 miles to the house will be on fairly flat dirt roads. Our 5 acre property has epic 360 views of the desert. Beavertail is the guest house of a larger house. It is extremely quiet and beautiful. Our property is intentionally unfenced and we have a lot of wildlife that may wander by including coyotes, bunnies, roadrunners, etc. We do have some neighbors and we ask that you be careful about sound, as noise carries a long distance in the open silent desert.

A very clean and comfortable cottage located between downtown and the park entrance in South Joshua Tree. Any local fees are already figured in on our nightly rate. We do not charge a cleaning or pet fee. Coffee beans, grinder, filters and tea furnished.

This comfortable cottage is in an ideal location, close to Joshua Tree National Park and downtown Joshua Tree. One of the first homes built in Joshua Tree, this one-bedroom cottage has been completely remodeled and updated to provide a comfortable stay while retaining it's original charm. The bath has a tub with a shower and a separate vanity area. Guests will find all they need to prepare and serve meals and snacks in the fully-equipped kitchen. In addition to the stove and refridgerator, a micro-wave and coffee maker are provided for convenience. Guests sleep well in queen-size bed in the single bedroom. The queen size euro-lounger in the living room provides additional sleeping arrangements. The guest cottage is a separate home on the grounds of your hosts and completely private. Guests are able to park within steps of the cottage. The porch features security screening. Facing east, guests can enjoy their morning coffee or tea while watching the sunrise. The dining area opens to a private patio area where guests can sit and enjoy the spendor of the dazzeling night skies or soak up the sun's rays. Smoking is only allowed in outdoor areas. Joshua Tree National Park is a short two minute drive and the village of Joshua Tree is within walking distance. The villiage has unique shops, art galleries and dining. Within blocks of Coyote Hole Canyon, hikers can enjoy boulder scrambling and view ancient petroglyophs. Easy day-trips include Palm Springs and its surrounding desert communities, golfing, Big Bear mountain attractions, Amboy Crater and the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve. Guests appreciate the central heating and air-conditioning. Wi-fi service is also provided. The cottage is equipped with cable TV, radio, DVD player and CD player and stocked with towels and linens. A Pak and Play is provided for guests with infants. The book shelves house an eclictic collection; the reader can take their unfinished book when they leave. Best suited for singles, couples, and small families; well-behaved pets are also welcome. We do not charge a pet fee.

This is a residential neighborhood. The cottage sits on back of the property. With plenty of privacy and room to park large or small vehicles. The cottage has been used as a vacation rental for over 60 years. The property is zoned existing non-conforming and is one of the first developed properties in Joshua Tree.

There are some free entrance days so be sure to check the website for these dates. Noah Purifoy Exhibit - An outdoor art exhibit is located 5-10 minutes away and is a must see for all art lovers. His installations have been in galleries across the country and this exhibit is a true testament for his amazing work. The Integratron - This is an unforgettable sound experience for those seeking deep relaxation and rejuvenation. Sound baths are by appointment only by online booking or phone. Integratron is located about 20 minutes away and worth every minute. Landers Brew Co - If you are looking for a good beer, surrounded by beautiful desert scenery, LBC is the spot. With a friendly bar staff and great selection of drafts and bottles, you can't go wrong. Definitely a must for beer lovers. The 15 minute drive is well worth it to enjoy a beer on the patio or listen to some local live music. The restaurants in Joshua Tree are amazing. Country Kitchen is perfect for a delicious diner Breakfast and home cooked meals. Crossroads Cafe is a breakfast and lunch hot spot with a wide range of options, including vegan/vegetarian options. Pie For The People is hands down the best pizza in town, the garlic knots are pretty tasty too! Natural Sisters is the vegetarian restaurant in Joshua Tree and has large portions and hearty salads. Joshua Tree Saloon is right down the street and a perfect spot for live music, drinks and be sure to have some BBQ or Mahi Mahi tacos.
