Amazing riverfront getaway near Mendota, VA. Sit on the large-covered deck and enjoy nature as it floats on by. Small cabin with full sized sleeper sofa available (bring your own linens) or sleep in a tent or in your hammock under the stars! 3 acres of green grass to run, romp, play, and relax. Please note: There is no power or running water on the property. You can bring a generator if you’d like to supply power to the cabin. Also, the only bathroom available is a composting outhouse.

Don’t be surprised if you see a flock of turkeys or a handful of deer wandering around. They appreciate the stone bridges and walls built by hand by Bob, who loved all nature. Tucked into a quiet, wooded hillside, Hilltop Retreat is a peaceful private cottage designed for rest, focus, and comfort. Set on over six secluded acres, the home offers exceptional quiet and privacy while remaining just five minutes from downtown Abingdon. With fiber internet, it’s well suited for remote work or extended stays. Note: the steep gravel driveway requires a 4×4 vehicle. The Bird House

Come to the country and enjoy life on our formerly sheep farm now has cattle. This spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath farmhouse is quaint and cozy. The Bird House is fully furnished so it should meet all your requirements. The farmhouse sits on the edge of our 58 acre farm. We currently farm on the property so, from time-to-time workers may be on the farm feeding the sheep. The Bird House has central heat & air, public water, Wi-Fi and 65" TV; includes a big front porch and a back patio.
