Because doing nothing often leads to the very best something. Prep meals in the new kitchen, work remotely (if you must), and stream movies. Hang out on the deck or at the firepit enjoying mountain, river and valley views. Spend afternoons hiking countless trails nearby. But most of all, come do a little bit of nothing.

The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

Beyond the cabin only the vast GW National Forest. Our cabin offers all modern amenities including high speed wifi, central air, and a gourmet kitchen. Keep your eyes open for wildlife. The cabin is a stone throw from lakes and endless trails. Or maybe go skiing? But be warned - you may not wish to leave once you put your feet up!

Vacation or remote work-we now have Starlink. Spacious rancher with expansive wrap around porch. Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktail on the porch overlooking fenced in 3 acres (4' field fence) and adjacent hay field with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy the peacefulness and wildlife found here. Close to many hiking trails, Shenandoah River, shopping or just relaxing. We are dog friendly but we only allow a max of 3 dogs with prior approval. We do charge $50 pet flat fee.
