Waterfront Haven Apartment

Designed by 1 + 2 Architects and built by VOS our home won a HIA award in 2005. Part of our brief to the architects was to design a part of the home where our guests could have complete privacy and feel spoilt . It has become a sanctuary for many people . Recently our local renowned Interior Designer has visited the apartment . The result is spectacular and calming . Quality furniture is enhanced by soft furnishings from Adairs. Professionally laundered bed linen adds to the sense of luxury.

Set amongst native gum and banksia the cabin overlooks the clear waters of little Norfolk Bay. Externally blending in with its environment and internally featuring detailed timberwork using Tasmanian Oak giving a natural feel. Centrally located within the Tasman Peninsula it's a short drive to everything on offer. Richmond Cottage

Enjoy the Coal River Valley from the little Brick Cottage down the lane, it’s a peaceful and private place to stay and has enough room for the family or a group of friends (if you want to bring them that is 😉) Historic Richmond is only a short walk away, in just moments you could be feeding the ducks, enjoying a latte or walking over Australia’s oldest Bridge.. The Cottage has a beautiful Fireplace for those colder evenings. The Fireplace heats the entire home and makes it lovely and cosy.

We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

From here you can also access the many Coal River Valley attractions, together with stunning East Coast, Tasman Peninsula and Midland 'Convict Trail' day drives.
