Gatehouse By The Gardens
Gatehouse offers everything you need for your short term stay. Refresh in a wet room-style bathroom, complete with oversized bath and dual-head shower. Then tuck in to the complimentary breakfast in the cozy but well appointed air-conditioned interior. Have dinner in the beautiful tropical courtyard, which offers a large gas BBQ and loads of extra space to relax. Families are looked after with two portacot's, child friendly tableware, games, children's books and a park just next door. A generous 2 bedroom apartment, with a relaxed modern feel and plenty of space to relax on the huge shaded deck or chill in the ducted air-conditioning. Backing onto the the beautiful Botanical Anderson Gardens, which is great for strolling through and getting little ones to spend up some energy with lots of shady paths and ducks to feed by the pond. The Apartment and surrounding property are all on one level with a single 9cm step into the living area from the garage. There are no level changes out onto the deck or into the bathroom or shower area. The bathroom is a wet room style with an oversized bath for extreme relaxation. The shower area has a hand held shower head and a large luxurious rain shower head with a selector valve to choose between the two. A chair for showering can be provided by request. We have an absolute no smoking policy. There are no designated smoking areas anywhere on the property. A breakfast of bacon, eggs, bread, butter, and porridge plus all the Teas, coffee, hot chocolate, chilled water, and any pantry items are all provided for you in the kitchen. Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Hand Soap, Toilet Paper, Toothbushes and Toothpaste, Razors and Candles are provided for your convenience. The TV in the loungeroom is connected to an android TV box with access to the Internet and a DVD Movie library. The large Deck is a fabulous place to dine or just chill out listening to the birds while looking out to the park. The small Garage (3m x 5m) is suitable for small cars only but there is plenty of parking on the front lawn with 4 available spots. The City centre is a 10 min drive away with the Strand (well worth visiting) a 15 min drive from Gatehouse. By car to the Airport is 10 mins and the Train Station is 6 min. I will greet you to show you around. Beyond that, you will have your privacy. We are passionate about Hosting and are flexible with check in times and offer early luggage drop off if needed. We can also arrange pickups from the Airport, Train Station or Buses work permitting for a small fee. Stroll in the botanical gardens, enjoy easy access to the Mater Hospital which is only 300 Meters away, plus cafes and supermarkets. Townsville Stadium is only 4-minute drive away. Browse the boutiques at Castletown Shopping Centre, which is a similar distance. Multiple Bus stops are located within 500m of apartment. There is a $150.00 penalty for smoking on or in the premises. Guests who stay longer than a week will be serviced with a changover of all linens and towels.
