The cottage has been refurbished to a high standard throughout and sleeps up to 3 comfortably. The ground floor has a large lounge with smart TV and access to a rear courtyard through a dining room. There’s a large double bedroom with king sized bed, a cosy single bedroom and modern bathroom. A perfect base for exploring!

Southwold is a picturesque coastal town, a 25 minute drive away and Beccles, a beautiful market town on the banks of the river Waveney.

The Old Lamp Room. Self contained annexe

The Old Lamp Room used to store the lamps for the lighthouse until it became automatic. It is now an annexe to the old Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage, which is our family home. Guests have their own front door and are free to use the small front courtyard garden which has a bistro table and chairs. Situated up a small path, behind the lighthouse and moments from the beach. The high street with its shops, restaurants and pubs is a 5 minute stroll away. An ideal cosy bolt hole.

We would like to welcome you to The Folly, your cosy woodland retreat away from the stresses and strain of modern life. For the last couple of years we've only had friends and family staying here but are so excited to be able to share our lovely Suffolk Seaside home with others. I spent my childhood summers on Lowestoft beach with my family and we love staying here. The house is a classic Victorian terrace with beautiful proportions, 3 floors o sea views and now a stunning modern interior following our major project in 2018. I hope you love it as much as we do.
