This story could have started in the 40's, but we'll start in the 60's when this tiny cabin was local housing to graduate students at Duke. Wonderfully located and unlike anything else this close to Duke University or downtown Durham, the Green Door cabin welcomes you for the weekend or week. Fully renovated recently while keeping the charm intact. You can feel as isolated as you want with every amenity within just a couple of miles. Duke Forest Trails and Duke CC Trail within walking distance.

The Cabin at Minka Farm: live the farm dream

Make some memories at this unique, family-friendly farm cabin. Unplug, relax, enjoy the beauty &/or make it a learning experience. Help the farmer with chores, make meals with farm meats and eggs, kayak the pond, go fishing, hike through the woods on our trail, enjoy the firepit, and more! Had enough of the farm? Chapel Hill is 20 minutes, Raleigh is 45 minutes. The area is vibrant with events year-round. No parties. No smoking/vaping. No family/friend gatherings of more than 8 people total.

Private Cabin on a Winery/Cidery & Blueberry Farm

Stay at a cute cabin located near Botanist and Barrel’s award-winning Cidery and winery on Cedar Grove Blueberry Farm. Your stay includes a complimentary cider flight (and u-pick blueberries when in season). Note: This is a working farm, so you may see farm team members harvesting, and making flower bouquets, in the fields/buildings near the cabin. Originally the studio of a visual artist (long ago garden illustrator for The New York Times), this petite building is completely private. Firm queen bed. Mix of antiques and artisanal built-ins. Radiant heat. AC. Mini fridge and microwave, electric kettle, Chemex coffee maker and French Press, excellent wifi. Unique space in one of the best country neighborhoods around. 6.5 miles to Hillsborough healthy grocery store, 8 to Carrboro/Chapel Hill, 18 to Durham. Serene pond and grounds.

The Scout House

Located close to downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill, The Scout House has all of the rustic charm of a country retreat plus the convenient, urban amenities of The Triangle. The beds (one king and one queen), are brand new and super comfy. The views include a historic barn, ivy covered stables, green pastures, and woods. There is a lightly wooded trail to a serene private pond. The Scout House is a charming and wonderful place to stay for any and all occasions!

You’ll be minutes to downtown Hillsborough, while still having the tranquil surroundings of established hardwoods and gardens.

Get away from it all in this peaceful cabin in the woods. Our large garden is adjacent and seasonal vegetables and fruits and eggs from our chickens are available to guests. The setting is quiet and tranquil yet is only 6 miles from downtown Carrboro, off a main highway.
