The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

This rural getaway is situated between Opunake & Manaia on Surf highway 45. Older but cosy cottage with 3 bedrooms on our dairy farm. Clean with lovely linen & comfy beds. Good base - 30 mins to Mt Taranaki, 10 mins to Opunake. Close proximity to lots of surf breaks, Pihama lavender farm, Mt Taranaki and many other amazing adventures & scenery. A semi-detached 2 bedroom apartment overlooking park like surroundings & view of Oakura Beach & the Tasman Sea. A very short walk will have the sand between your toes and/or a dip in the sea. Entry into the apartment is via your own front door with an outside lock-box holding the key. The apartment has 2 good size bedrooms, both with wardrobes for storage. Bath robes are supplied for up to 4 guests. In the well appointed lounge/dining room area you will also find a TV, CD player & FM radio.

Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.
