We are a kiwi style hostel/lodge, family owned/operated on Gooches beach (great for swimming and surfing) and only few hundred metres from the town, bars and eateries.

This listing is for a twin room at Chester St Backpackers, our small, homely hostel in the central city. The two beds in the room are made up and have electric blankets. We are are a long term stay hostel, set up for backpackers who are stopping in Christchurch for a while to work and save for their next stage of travel and students studying nearby. We are just down the road from Ara. You will be part of a shared house overseen by Pipi the cat.
