The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities . The suite offers a private covered patio to relax overlooking the garden and peekaboo of Kootenay Lake and Mountains . Convenient onsite parking for one car accessed from the alley. 10 minutes walking downhill to downtown Nelson ,it’s a bit of a hike back up being a mountain town.

I have endeavored to create a comfortable space that provides a wonderful base for adventuring. The walls are covered in local art, I love showcasing local artisans. Paintings are reminiscent of Nelson and are for sale. The beautiful king sized bed and live edge wood counters are taken from sustainably harvested trees and created by a local craftsman. The upstairs is spacious and features a wood burning stove. The downstairs is a beautiful grotto bathroom with a sunken tub big enough for two.

The Caravan

Enjoy a memorable and unique experience in the 'Caravan', a tiny home built on the back of a 1967 International Loadstar. Cozy up and read a book in the spacious loft bed or take a bath in the outdoor tub (May - Oct). Have a romantic getaway, or bring your family of 3 and make use of the twin futon. Walk or ride your bike right out the door on our trails and take in one of the classes or events at For-rest Retreat. Salmo is the perfect place to stay and explore the beauty of the Kootenays.

Enjoy the privacy of our bright, clean studio with queen bed, kitchen, soaker tub/ hand shower, and private, shaded garden patio. Studio has own entrance completely separate from the main house. Centrally located a 2 min walk/bike to Safeway, Starbucks, and a liquor store, with paths just beyond which will take you to Lakeside park as well.
