Cottage by the Lake

Set on 50 acres of farmland, this unique property boasts 2 large lakes with row boats - kayaks and beautiful gardens, abundance of wildlife and a serene and peaceful ambience. Your hosts, Ann & Kevin live in the main house, about 100 metres from the lake-side cottage and are available if needed, or can be very discreet. You have free access to all of the property, with lovely walks and farm animals to interact with. The property is 5 min from Hanging Rock and 15 mins from Kyneton, and Woodend.

The Nissen

The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. Situated in "cool country" Trentham, the Chef’s Shed was originally built in 1860, and has been lovingly transformed into a cosy, spacious and unique place to stay. It has quirky living spaces, including a loft, and wide, stunning views over the land around, even from the private sauna which can be used for a modest fee. From here you can explore the region. We are surrounded by nature, and a few minutes drive from historic Trentham with cafes, pubs, walking tracks and a lot of history.

Henry's Cottage

Redesdale is a wonderful little country town with everything you need at hand to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. A,cafe, a pub and a general store all in walking distance from the cottage. The cottage is lovely and light filled, charmingly decorated with modern conveniences . Beautiful views of the surrounding area and friendly locals to offer advice and great food if you choose to eat at their venues. This place is a gem and just a short drive from Melbourne.

Set in the peaceful bushland of Fryerstown, Fryers hut is only 10 minutes from Castlemaine, 30 minutes from Daylesford and 5 minutes from Vaughan Springs. Excellent walking and mountain bike riding are at your doorstep or just relax at the hut and enjoy the garden, pool and sauna. In the heart of the Goldfields region there is plenty to explore including outdoor activities, the arts, festivals, historical sites and great cafes, restaurants and wineries.

The Hermitage (Cottage)
