the Poplars Cottage

Our cottage is set in the corner of a 100 acre mostly wooded tract in rural Floyd County. The site is open, but surrounded by mature trees. You will enjoy the quiet private setting. Our cottage is good for couples and small families. The Town of Floyd, six miles away, hosts restaurants, a coffee shop, and gift shops. The Floyd Country Store hosts the renowned Friday Night Jamboree featuring local bluegrass, while other restaurants host a variety of music on weekends and during the week.

Homeplace

The Homeplace is in the rural countryside of Floyd, VA surrounded by a family farm with a winding creek nearby. You will enjoy beautiful views of pasture fields that may have cattle and sheep grazing and possibly see various wildlife. This home, built in the 1940’s and situated beside a paved road, has been lived in and gently loved. While experiencing the nostalgia of an old home you will also enjoy modern conveniences such as WIFI, central heat/air, and a fully stocked kitchen and bath.

Three-story Blue Ridge Yurt getaway

This three-story yurt is an architectural wonder, featuring bamboo floors, heat and a/c and other modern amenities. Situated on 3 private acres at the top of an end-state-maintenance road with streams and hiking paths, the property exemplifies the beauty and diversity of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nestled in the heart of SW Virginia, Ridge View Cabin is a relaxing place to get away from it all; yet, the charming and historic towns of Hillsville and Floyd Virginia are less than 18 miles away. Chateau Morrisette winery and restaurant is a 20 minute drive as is Villa Appalachia Winery. The Blue Ridge Parkway is easily accessible and the Virginia Creeper Trail is in nearby Galax. There are plenty of other hiking trails around and river sports are nearby.

Great location just 1/2 mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway at MP 152. Surrounded by open fields, mountain vistas abound. This home has been lived in and gently loved for many years. There is one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. An extra cot is available. Fully equipped kitchen! Great for families and a long stay. Guests are invited to join us when feeding the farm animals (alpacas, llamas, Highland cattle, Jacob sheep and angora goats) each morning. Fun!

The Farmer's Supply-Unit 202 in Downtown Floyd VA

The historic Farmer’s Supply building is one of the oldest buildings in Floyd. Located in the heart of Downtown Floyd, the family owned and operated Farmer's Supply building has recently been brought back to life and houses two commercial tenants and boutique units, known as The Farmer's Supply. With the addition of local photography and art, we hope to keep the local culture at the center of our guests' experience.
