Podere di Belforte is a medieval viewing tower, which over the centuries has developed into a farm house, nestled on top of a hill, overviewing florence. We produce olive oil, jams, vegetables and do provide cooking and classes if requested by our guests. The silence and peace you can enjoy includes all the comforts of your own tuscan getaway. We are only 15' away from the city of florence and the town of villamagna provides eating facilities but not much public transport.

It is located in Settignano, a small neighborhood 6 km from the center of Florence with bus n.10 which end of line is only 50 meters from the access gate of the house. In 15 minutes you can easily reach the center of the city. Beside the gate there s the bar Vida, always full of delicious pastries and fresh tramezzino sandwiches.

A Big Dream in a Little Tower.

The Tower was created in the late 1800s by an illustrious Englishman, Sir John Temple Leader, in one of the oldest and most important stone quarries belonging to the Medici family. From the same quarry were extracted many important works such as the columns of the Medici chapels, the steps of the Laurenziana library .. all just 5 km from the historic center of Florence.
