西村邸は、奈良町の一画に100年以上たたずむ、昔ながらの奈良町屋です。ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

The house is in a quiet, traditional area of Nara with smooth access to the station and main sightseeing spots. You’ll have 2 guest rooms upstairs with a toilet and washbasin. The shower room is on the first floor. Each room has a lock for your privacy. There are 3 futon beds and 1 double bed. Meals are available if reserved 2 days in advance: sukiyaki dinner (6,500 JPY/person) breakfast (1000 JPY/person) I also run a cozy café nearby, closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
