Come farmstay at a homestead at our unique, bespoke, completely private little house, that is totally off-grid and almost fully self sufficient. The homestead farm is tucked away in an indigenous forest and the secluded, comfortable, eco-cottage overlooks the Gonubie River valley a stone's throw from East London, with easy access to East London Airport (King Phalo Airport). You are welcome to take a tour of the farm and systems, harvest your own organic vegetables, or just relax on the deck.

The Beach Cottage

The Beach Cottage is a self-catering cottage on a working dairy farm within walking distance to the beach. It is only 10km from the EL airport and a 20 minute drive into EL. The cottage has beautiful views of the sea as well as of cows grazing on green pastures. It has a fully functional kitchen. Tea, coffee, fresh farm milk & rusks are provided on arrival. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Please note, own transport advisable as we are on a farm.

Our large apartment is conveniently situated near the schools , restaurants, shopping malls and we are 3km from Nahoon Beach . Our apartment is never affected by loadshedding . We have solar energy , battery backup and rainwater supply. We have uncapped WIFI and the full DSTV package . Full NETFLIX also available . The house has been recently renovated, is beautifully furnished and is a delight for those that enjoy cooking. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms - 1 bedroom has a bunkbed that sleeps 3 children. Oregon Cottage is a cosy, open-plan, self-catering accommodation unit suitable for two, tucked away in the quieter part of town, on the edge of a large, protected, indigenous riverine forest. The forest is home to buck, prolific bird life and many other species of animals, which makes it a perfect hideaway for nature lovers and, in particular, birding enthusiasts. If you are up for it, we can guide you on walks to secret, quieter places of natural beauty.

Our self catering studio, with backup power and aircon, is connected to the main house. It offers a neat and cozy open plan studio style unit with private entrance and private deck. There is remote access and off street parking for 1 vehicle. Double cab bakkies with a tow hitch don’t fit when there’s 2 cars parked in - where on street parking is generally safe in our quiet neighbourhood. Nahoon Beach and river is 1.5km, Spar and restaurants 500m away.

The accommodation unit consists of a lounge area and en-suite bedroom with a separate entrance to that of the main house. A small kitchenette with a fridge, kettle, microwave is included. (there is no kitchen) Max. 2 people. The house is situated in the quiet Sunrise-on-Sea suburb within walking distance of the sea. It is approx 20 minutes drive from the East London CBD and 35 minutes drive from the airport.
