Hand Built Log Cabin

This cabin was completed in 1940 by previous owner's grandmother with only the help of her horses. The wood was cut from the property. Originally it had no electric or plumbing, we updated it more in 2021 keeping as much original as possible. Rustic cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk-in shower only, washer and dryer, full eat in kitchen and living room. On site you can relax watching horses, mini horses, goats, chickens & ducks as well as wild life. You can feed and pet the 🐐 goats.

The Pilot 2 is located on the second floor. This is a more affordable room. There is a queen bed, half bath en suite. There are 2 shower rooms located just outside the room for the 4 Pilot rooms to share. There are 2 Captain rooms on the first floor with a full private bathroom. There is a tv, desk in the room. There is a large community space on the first floor. There is a large kitchen and other activities. The pool is open seasonally.

Welcome to Serenity Log Inn. This authentic 1930s log cabin is located one mile from the historical town of Kimmswick and 25 miles from St. Louis with easy access to major highways. There is a $30.00 fee per use of the historical fireplace. Fee covers set up, dry wood for burning, fire starter and maintenance, and $18.00 fee first use to cover clean up. To prevent infestation of insects, no outside wood allowed. 24 hr notice required.
