Pricing is per bedroom; $144/night for 1 bedroom accommodating 1-2 guests. Additional $87/night for a second bedroom for 3-4 guests. A Tax of approximately 6% is added to this pricing. Located on a dead-end gravel road, 1.5 miles to hard surface road. There is a house behind the cottage where one person lives. Construction completed in 2020, has a deck, a 2-acre pond, 15 acres cleared, woods to wander in, walking distance to Otter River, 19 miles to Houghton, 13 miles to Baraga on Lake Superior.

Located on Portage Lake in Chassell, MI, near Houghton with quick access to Michigan Tech University, this rustic family cabin is a great place for either an overnight stay or a longer getaway. It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

Bicycles are available as well as kayaks! Comfortably sleep 2 in the queen bed. Full size futon & cot also. Things to do are endless!

Our peaceful 5-bedroom lakefront home is 4 miles from Houghton and is conveniently located near the airport, Michigan Tech, Mont Ripley (3 miles) and Mount Bohemia (38 miles). Snowmobile trails are only 1/3rd of a mile away and you can ride your sled from here. Enjoy spectacular views of the lake, kayaking, and campfires on the patio. Our area is full of history and charm. Come visit! Parking for 3 trucks, plus trailers. Please Note: We charge $10 per night per person over 2 people.

Serenity on Superior

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cabin on Lake Superior. The views are amazing day and night. With panoramic views from inside and out you’ll have amazing sunsets and spectacular views of the lake. The nighttime views of the stars and the Northern Lights are even better! Inside there is plenty of room to stretch out and relax, sit in front of the fireplace, relax in the jacuzzi tub or even play a game of pool. Just a short drive to Eagle River, Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor.

The Beach House

Beautiful year round beach house. This tiny house is located on Second Sand Beach. Guests will enjoy an all sand beach on Lake Superior. It is 8 miles from the town of L’Anse, and a 40 minute drive to Houghton. Cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails, hiking trails, and ORV trails are minutes away. Participate in the many summer and winter fishing tournaments in the area or relax and unwind on the private beach. A boat launch area is a short walk down the beach.

Otter House

Otter House is a beautifully appointed log cabin in the trees overlooking Otter Lake. It is comfortably furnished with a well equipped kitchen. The lakefront has a small beach, 3 kayaks, a canoe, hammocks and a fire pit. Otter Lake is a tranquil spot with great fishing and very little boat traffic. There is a parking pad for your RV or trailer. *Please note that the entry is on the basement level and the main living area is up a flight of stairs.

Relax with friends and family at this peaceful cozy cabin. A perfect 4 seasons cabin on a the ravine river. Enjoy steelhead trout fishing, walking in the woods, winter sports ect. Near Lake Superior. Finn’s bar and grill, and huron bay trading post for groceries and gas. We are a fully furnished cabin with a queen sized bed, full size bed and a twin, with a large sofa and a newer love seat. In our family for the last five decades, this homey Lakeshore cottage is prepped and ready to host newcomers to give them a taste of our Keweenaw Peninsula paradise. Enjoy a private beach with bonfire ring, recently renovated deck with furnishings, fully equipped kitchen and three bedrooms (with comfy King, Queen & Twin beds). Centrally located between Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor, each just a short drive away.

There is one queen size bed along with a futon that folds out into a twin bed and a convertible couch which also folds down into a twin bed.
