Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Kimtu and Big Rock beaches are minutes away. The giant porch is perfect for grilling and out door dining, and the large, fenced in back yard is pet friendly. Take a walk through the maintained golf course neigborhood park with your dogs, cook in the full kitchen, work remotely, or dine in Willow Creek, moments away.

Surf Sanctuary Retreat and Sauna: Beach & Redwoods

The Surf Sanctuary retreat is minutes away from remote beaches and redwoods. Please note: Redwood Park is 30 minutes away. The sanctuary is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen and bathroom. We are located within a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 30 minutes away from Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect launch location for hiking, surfing, cycling and enjoying this amazing place. Enjoy our beautiful quiet space for relaxation and renewal.

Relax in this comfortable (approximately 425 square feet) dog friendly one-bedroom apartment in sunny Blue Lake. The apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, comfortable living and dining room space and 1 bedroom with queen bed. Air mattress or single cot are available for additional guests and can be set up in living/kitchen area. Private entrance with deck right outside your door with table and chairs for outdoor enjoyment.

Only an 8 minute drive to McKinleyville and the Pacific Ocean, and 15 minutes to Arcata Plaza and Cal Poly Humboldt University. Peaceful and quiet, with hiking trails, deer, and wind whispering in the trees.
