Although it's a rustic homage to the lumberjacks and jills of yesteryear, this cabin includes many of the comforts we now enjoy including a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge, hot water, AC/heat, a Keurig coffeemaker, smart TV and charcoal grill. The Timberjack is surrounded by trees right on Lake Hayward and close to downtown Hayward. Launch your canoe just steps from the cabin, walk into town for lunch, or go hiking or skiing on the nearby trails, this cabin is nestled in the ideal location!

Studio sized log cabin with direct access to Hayward Lake and located just 3.5 miles from the Hatchery Creek Trailhead (Birkie Trail and CAMBA mountain bike trail access at this trailhead). Or you could go hang out at the city beach just half a mile away or launch your boat at the public launch (same place). Also just a short walk to downtown for great coffee, food and drink. Built as a winter or summer escape for a couple or small group, this beautiful four season cabin is a great way to experience the Northwoods of Wisconsin in a modern, well-appointed, aesthetically rich space designed with relaxation in mind. Cabin is brand new as of January 2024. Host is 14 year "superhost" This is a default "no pets" cabin, however certain sizes and breeds are allowed by permission only. We have a NEMA 15-40R outlet for level 2 EV charging. You bring chord and adapter

Mysa: Modern Birkie Trailside Nature Oasis

Welcome to the Mysa Meadow House: A modern, minimalist and serene nature cabin right on the Birkie Trail system with wide open meadow and forest views to enjoy wildlife. True to its name, Mysa is the Swedish word for “cozy up" and contentedness. This is a quiet nature escape perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who love to bike, ski and hike the vast trail system of Birkie Ridge right outside the front door. The cabin is on its own 3-acre plot surrounded by forest with a meadow view.

The "Gatekeeper" cottage has a natural gas stone fireplace in the living room, Full size sofa sleeper, full kitchen, full bath on the main floor and a half bath in the sleeping loft. (Need to be able to climb ladder stairs to lofted bedroom). A spiral staircase leads you down to the lower level which has an additional bedroom, queen sofa sleeper in the extra living room space, and full bathroom. The lower level also has a walk out french door to the patio area.

Backyard trails and Lake Hayward!

Stay in one of the oldest structures in Sawyer County with private Lake Hayward frontage in your front yard and the Birkie trail, atv and snowmobile trails in the backyard! You can hike, bike, ski, or ride the trails directly from our yard. Plenty of parking-driveway is a loop. Cabin was completely renovated top to bottom in spring of 2021. Enjoy serenity and country feel but also close proximity to Hayward. (2 miles to main street)
