Our property's excellent proximity to town ensures that you can easily explore and enjoy all the local attractions, dining spots, and shopping areas. Close to everything!

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

I live across the street & clean and sanitize, so I know it is done properly. Note: Optional (additional charge) game room available.

Working Ranch in Minnesota

Relax, unwind and UNPLUG on our working ranch in the Glacial Hills of Western Minnesota. Many activities nearby to keep you as busy or as relaxed as you choose. Open floor plan with 3 gas fireplaces and basement rec room. Master bath has double shower and Bubble tub. Sunsets are beautiful from the deck. The house does not have TV. WIFI is available for a $35 fee if you need it. Home sleeps 23 and there is a $20 per person fee per night above 8 guests.

This has been a wonderful undertaking, preparing my rental house into an Airbnb. I saw lots of potential and need for guests to be able to have a clean, comfortable and super private, spacious living space for their stay while out and about on whatever they might be doing, whether it be visiting with family, out hunting, or on their road trip just exploring what Western Minnesota has to offer!

Adorable one bedroom cottage with an additional full-size sofa sleeper. Year-round rental house located on the inside of the peninsula. Because the Cozy Cottage is located on the inside of peninsula, there is no direct access to the lake; however, there is a public dock and lake access approximately two blocks away. Big Stone Lake has something for everyone.
