High Mountain Stone Cottage in the Cederberg

Surely the highest cottage, at 1200m altitude, in the Cederberg with spectacular views of the Koue Bokkeveld and the Cederberg. It is set against a mountain peak surrounded by pristine Cape flora. A place of retreat and deep silence. The cottage, with its beautiful woodwork and stonework, belongs to another era. Recently it was renovated with a larger kitchen and a braai room as shelter from summer southerly winds and to catch sun on winter afternoons. A private rock pool is 150m from the stoep

Beachfront Rock Cottage (right on the beach)

Rock Cottage is a beachfront apartment on the famous 16 mile beach on the West Coast of South Africa. Situated 96km outside Cape Town, it is an ideal getaway right on the beach with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a small mezzanine with a sofa-bed for kids (accessed by a wall ladder), a fully equipped kitchen (including dish washer and washing machine), open plan dining and lounge and a deck with barbecue. The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

For the outdoor enthusiasts Helderberg provide trails for hiking and mtbiking and our dam covers swimming, rowing and sundowners.

Our studio apartment opens up onto a 40sq meter balcony with a panoramic view of the Hout Bay Valley and the Helderberg mountains beyond. Large sliding doors disappear into the walls creating an unimpeded indoor/outdoor flow while the elevated position protects your privacy. The open plan bathroom faces onto an enclosed secret garden which includes a frame-less glass shower. The unit has a fully equipped kitchenette and is serviced daily except weekends and public holidays.

Blackwood Log Cabin

A tranquil and private mountain retreat where water, forest and mountains will re-awaken the soul. Set high on the mountain slopes of Constantia Nek, Blackwood Log Cabin has panoramic views across the lush valley to the mountains beyond. The 2 bedroomed house sleeps 4 with 2 bathrooms. Power outages are being experienced by SA - the oven/stove is gas, the hot water is gas, the internet is solar driven and we have 2 battery lights for guests use.

Forest Lodge

The Forest Lodge is a two-bedroom unit each with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom, one with a shower and bath and other with a shower. The unit has a full kitchen and open-plan living area with a big hearth linking the two spaces. The lodge is fitted with American shutters, ensuring security in this very private setting. A 4.5-meter veranda is perfectly appointed to enjoy a glass of wine, a game of Scrabble or leisurely reading a book.

Fynbos Cabins

On the sea side of the Nature Reserve discover our wood and stone Fynbos Cabins, simple luxury beneath vast, blue West Coast skies. The surprisingly spacious cabins blend discreetly into the landscape. Glass walls yield unobstructed views of Cape floral fynbos.
