Fairfax View - delightful annexe cottage, Gilling

Situated in the picturesque village of Gilling East on the edge of the North York Moors national park, Fairfax View offers the perfect base to explore this beautiful corner of Yorkshire. This one bedroom cottage has en-suite shower room, well equipped kitchen and large lounge with double sofa bed (available for use by prior request). Located directly opposite the highly-acclaimed Fairfax Arms and on the edge of the Ampleforth Abbey and College campus, with a 9 hole golf course in the village.

The Little House Peaceful & self-contained

Located in the centre of the lovely village of Kilburn on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the Little House is peaceful, cosy and self-contained, tucked away from the general hustle and bustle of the village with a safe garden for dogs and children. The Forresters Arms, serving local ales and meals, is a mere 20m across the square, it is best to reserve a table. The Mouseman Furniture Centre is just around the corner and the White Horse of Kilburn is a good walk up the hill.

The Hut in the Wild

Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit or wood pellet pizza oven followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. Herriot Country peaceful retreat

A tranquil rural gem of a cottage. The Stables has all the character & charm you would expect from a Yorkshire Stone dwelling, but with all the warmth & mod cons of a luxurious quiet retreat. The upstairs 'hayloft' bedroom has characterful sloping ceilings. (6ft 4 max) and downstairs the open plan space provides a beautifully equipped kitchen, dining area & relaxing lounge with a sofa, which opens out into a comfy bed for those who prefer to remain on the ground floor, looking over the garden.

The Owlery at Mill Farm

Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and En-Suite shower room. The Bathroom offers complimentary Bramley products and cotton bathrobes. Both areas are underfloor heated. There is a private garden.

The Parcel Shed Gilling East

This fabulous little bolt hole is a converted, 19th century railway shed in the picture postcard village of Gilling East. Brilliantly located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, it offers cosy and self contained , shepherds hut style accommodation less than 300 meters from a lovely country pub. Five miles from Helmsley and a short drive from Castle Howard, the Parcel Shed retains its original beams and enjoys beautiful views over the lower reaches of the Ampleforth Valley.

Little Hillside

A cosy cottage nestled in the hills of the North Yorkshire Moors, on the edge of Ampleforth village. An ideal place to relax, listen to the wildlife and enjoy the beautiful countryside. The pretty market town Helmsley is less than 10 minutes drive, with lots to explore. There is an abundance of great walks from your doorstep, excellent cycling routes and you will be spoilt for choice with fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants. York is 45 mins drive and an hour to the coast for beach walks.

The Garden Room

Two renovated old buildings have been converted into a quiet, one bedroom, self contained Garden room. In the centre of Slingsby village, you are well placed to explore the beautiful surrounding areas of Yorkshire. A modern kitchen with fridge, microwave and cooker is equipped for preparing delicious meals. A wall mounted television with Netflix is available. The sleeping area hosts a double bed with wall hanging for clothes, adjacent to which is a bright shower room with heated towel rail.

The pretty market town of Helmsley 4 miles & enjoy the facilities at St Alban Sports Centre with indoor pool & gym less 1 mile from village. 1 NIGHT STAYS CARRY SUPP OF £20. Spacious 2 bedroomed character apartment

A newly renovated apartment that can sleep up to four people in two generous double bedrooms. Situated above a quaint tearoom, "Hearts of Ampleforth" originally the village shop dating back to the 1800s, in the picturesque village of Ampleforth. The Domesday Book mentions the village in 1086 as Ampreforde, translated as the Ford of the Sorrel. The book of the same title is just one of the books on our well stocked book shelf for our guests to learn more about the area.

Stunning rural shepherds hut

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.
