Across the river are 28,000 acres of Foothills Land Conservatory and South Mountains State Park. The river is home to native trout and stocked once a year by the NC Wildlife Commission. Try your hand at fishing and enjoy a variety of wildlife. Located on 3/4 mile private paved road. You are welcome to explore the woodland paths on either side.
