The Lodge - Restored, Rustic 2 Bedroom On The River

The Lodge, a historic cabin on River Mountain Farm, is a private 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house that sleeps up to 4 and is pet friendly. Renovated in 2022, we restored this 1880s cabin and added modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. It is perfect for a family getaway and has two private bedrooms along with a fully-equipped kitchen, a separate dining room, and a living room with working fireplace. The bathroom features a claw foot tub with shower fixtures. On site, you'll have access to 137 acres of hiking and nearly a mile and a quarter of river frontage for fishing or kayaking. You can borrow one of our four kayaks, two paddle boards, or two river tubes or bring your own and launch from our new floating dock. We provide most of the gear you will need including adult life jackets, paddles, and waterproof bags. The owners, Adrienne and Drew, live on the property and are available to assist with anything you might need before or during your stay. The Lodge always includes free coffee and free firewood (sustainably harvested from the property) for the fire pit. A new 48-panel solar array attached to the original barn generates 20,000 kWh and covers all of our energy consumption. This newly remodeled home offers a screened porch, kitchen, dining room, living room, three bedrooms, and a bathroom.     Outdoors, you will find a firepit, picnic table, lawn chairs, grill, and access down to the river. The River offers a great place to sit and relax and build a campfire or you can get out on the water and fish, kayak, or canoe.
