This is one of Cape Town's environmental and historic treasures. It is a candle-lit hideaway with stunning views of mountain and sea. The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

Vredenhof is close to the N2 highway, in the heart of the Elgin Valley, known for apple-growing, and exceptional wines. You’ll love the comfort and charm of this place. Ideal for couples, looking to escape the city, and relax in quiet, "country" surroundings. Not ideal for children. You could stroll through the orchards, canoe on the dam, enjoy the summer sun in your own pretty, private garden, or curl up, under eiderdowns in front of a crackling fire, in winter. It is one of 6 unique accommodations on Camissa Farm an exquisite 60 hectare farm only 10 minutes from the heart of Stellenbosch. The loft has a private deck with braai facilities and a rustic wood fired hot tub and enjoys access to the hiking, biking and wild swimming opportunities in the dams on the farm. The Forest Lodge is a two-bedroom unit each with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom, one with a shower and bath and other with a shower.
