The Locker on Route 66 in Stroud, Oklahoma

This newly remodeled apartment resides 1/2 block from Historic Rt. 66. Tastefully reclaimed space from a 1940's meat market/locker plant, The Locker, exudes that era and Route 66. Most people in the 1940 had little to no freezer space and needed to rent it. Stroud Locker Plant opened in 1946. The Locker today was part of that original refrigerated/freezer space. Floors and ceilings are original from that era. The Locker front door displays the original brass door hinges used for the freezer.

It is the perfect spot to see Oklahoma, just 2 miles off of historic Route 66, 6 miles north of Bristow, 30 min. from Tulsa, and 70 miles from Oklahoma City. You also get access to our beautiful outdoor shower and our unique compost toilet for a truly memorable experience. Included in the dome is a mini fridge, microwave, Kuerig coffee, along with bowls, utensils, and towels.
