Fisherman's House - a boat ride from Lisbon

We recently recovered an old ruin in Trafaria, right by the Tejo river, with the help of Lisbon Architect Inês Brandão. The scenic Belém district lies just across the river, a short beautiful boat ride away. Stunning views and a quiet house with a private garden make this a prime location to enjoy the city of Lisbon, Trafaria's famous sea-food and fish restaurants on the river side, and the amazing coast of Caparica, a long sand beach that stretches over more than 20 km along the Atlantic ocean.

Historic windmill with splendid views

Arriving at Olival de São Filipe means first stopping to take in the view. The high location of the seven-hectare estate provides rich vistas. “Even more beautiful than in the pictures”, is a frequently heard response. The panorama is varied and changes constantly under the influence of the sun, clouds and water. You look out over the Atlantic Ocean, the Tróia peninsula - with a sandy beach as far as the eye can see - the Fort of São Filipe, the mouth of the Sado river and the city of Setúbal.

O Recantus Comporta, foi construído onde outrora funcionou o Posto Médico da aldeia mas respeitando a arquitectura da zona de modo a proporcionar conforto e tranquilidade. Situado no centro da aldeia, onde em apenas 2 minutos a pé os hóspedes conseguem ter acesso as mais variadas lojas, supermercados e restaurantes onde poderão desfrutar da magnifica gastronomia elaborada com produtos da região. A 1 km, fica a praia da comporta com um areal a perder de vista e o mar de um azul sem igual.
