We also have a one bedroom cottage next door for rent. When you arrive you will find yourself nestled between Lake Erie and Chautauqua Creek on 7 forested acres. Both features can be accessed in less than a 200 foot walk from the cottage. On the beach you can spend time hunting for beach glass and driftwood.

Please note: This listing is for the LOWER LEVEL home only. 1400 sq feet. Not the entire Chalet. Pictures shown in this listing are what you will be getting. The owners reside in the upper level. The only potential shared space is the garage area and the river. All else is private. There are 7 beds. 8 guests fit comfortably or 12 if sharing beds. Relax and enjoy this unique spot on the Ashtabula River! See the Eagle soaring by, Deer crossing the river and the Great Blue Heron at the falls edge.

Cheerful 3 bedroom cottage on the Allegheny River

We built the summer cottage in 2006, for a summer home stayed on. We lived in the cottage 8 years when we wanted a bigger house. We love it year around. We are isolated with 3 neighbors (not close) and the river at our front door. Good boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming , hiking, bird watching (with a eagle nest across the river). December through February, it is best if you come with 4 wheel drive. Having said that , we keep the road plowed and the hill sanded.

Dreaming Tree Cottage, our recently updated home is located in a private community, Mapleton Beach, offering a lakeview & beach access perfect for your getaway. It is located near the heart of wine country and in the middle of the GOTL strip. While a few wineries and a brewery are walkable, many other wineries are a 15-20 minute drive away. It is easy to access ride services such as Uber/Lyft. There is also a wine shuttle we recommend that can be pre-booked by the Lodge + Conference Center.

Take a 5 min walk and enjoy an ice cream shop, or the several restaurants and bars.

Our home is located in historic North East Pa. The house sits on a bluff overlooking beautiful Lake Erie with steps to access the beach. We have 2 bikes, a fire pit and plenty of seating on the oversized deck to enjoy your view of bald eagles flying along the shore. A split air system gives Air conditioning in the entire home makes your stay very comfortable. We are certain you will love your escape to the lake.
