Very private. This lake is great for kayaking, canoeing,and fishing. You can swim off the dock,but there are some lily pads. The water is clear,but the bottom of the lake is mucky at shore. Great for dogs. Kayaks, canoe, & paddle boat available at your own risk. In winter, best to have AWD vehicle.

Venture out to the numerous waterfalls, hike the Ottawa National Forest or Sylvania Wilderness, view the scenic Porcupine Mountains, drive through the Keweenaw peninsula. Perched along the shores of picturesque Sawyer Lake, the Fox Den offers fishing, and water-sports friendly waters. A nature lovers delight, unique birds frequent the property. Evening campfires offer broad clear views of the Milky Way. This quaint property offers use of an on-site dock that can accommodate a pontoon or a boat. There is a boat launch at the adjacent park. Sawyer lake is known for excellent fishing and no watercraft restrictions. In colder seasons warm up by the wood stove.
