The Old Byre, An Gleann

The Old Byre is a spacious, one bedroomed cottage to the rear of An Gleann, our home/business. It sits 4 miles outside of Port Charlotte on the road to Portnahaven. The cottage has its own private parking and secluded patio area to the side and back. Recently built on the site of our old byre, the cottage combines traditional features with bright decor and all the essential home comforts. Set within our 1 acre garden, surrounded by forestry and farmland, this is the ideal place to come to relax!

Called Failte, Gaelic for Welcome, the house has recently been completely refurbished and modernised to create a stunning 5 bedroom property (3 superking rooms (each superking bed can be unzipped into 2 singles) and 2 twin rooms). 2 shower rooms with power showers plus a third WC. Beautiful granny flat with sea views, terrace, well-equipped kitchen and en-suite bathroom for up to 3 people. Unfortunately not suitable for dogs and small children. A further 3 rooms located in the main house can be additionally booked on Airbnb, also to provide a second bathroom. Please let me know via Airbnb Messenger who will be arriving and when so I can prepare the rooms. The sofa bed is a “small double” (1.20 m wide) and only suitable for one person, skinny couples or 2 children.

Pier House

Pier House is beautifully located with stunning views. A huge lounge with Juliette balcony. The house is presented over 2 floors with the living room on the upper floor to maximise the exceptional vista. The house has all modern facilities and comes well equipped and presented. There are 4 bedrooms, a main bathroom, a separate wc and the master bedroom is complete with its own en-suite and shower. The property is on the edge of the beach and next to the pier, utterly perfectly located.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. Octomore Distillery Cottage

The Cottage is located on a working farm overlooking the beautiful village of Port Charlotte. Enjoy a relaxing stay with panoramic views across the Lochindaal surrounded by fields of barley and Highland cows. The recently renovated cottage was the original Octomore distillery which was operational from 1816 - 1852.
