200 year old Gardener's cottage, Mid Wales

Dan y Coed means 'under the trees'. Our cottage has nestled under the wooded hillside of Tan yr Allt for 200 years. The cottage is on the outskirts of Llanidloes, a 10 minute walk to town. We pride ourselves on guest satisfaction and the cottage is equipped to a high standard. We welcome all people and well behaved pets (downstairs). Nestled in the Welsh countryside, just into the Cambrian Mountains, it enjoys the splendour of nature and peaceful calm of times past. With its own garden, this former shepherd's cottage is surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape at the very end of a single-track road.

This 3 bedroom 1902 cottage sleeps 6, with 3 spacious double bedrooms. The panoramic sun lounge over looks our farm animals and wildlife. The light spacious kitchen includes an oil cooking range, electric cooker and all the other essentials you need. The local shop, pub & restaurant are superb and are within walking distance.

Old Chapel Farm Wagon

A converted railway goods wagon (c.1900), rustic and simple, with stunning view over our organic farm and uninhabited valleys beyond. Basic kitchen - Loos and showers in the farmyard or own compost loo alongside. This farm is host to a community of volunteers from all over the world and you will be welcome to get involved in our way of life - close to land and seasons, or enjoy seclusion in a place that radiates peace and vitality with unpolluted night skies.

The Shed, Galedrhyd, Elan Valley

The location of The Shed, Galedrhyd is truly unique. Step outside the door and you have walking access to 70 sq. miles of the stunning Elan Valley Estate and beyond. The Elan Valley is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and therefore the lakes and countryside are protected and provide a sanctary for an abundance of wildlife and nature. The valley also has International Dark Sky Status. This is all available to you without using your car!

My place is close to RHAYADER and THE ELAN VALLEY also adjoining THE GILFACH NATURE RESERVE. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the peacefulness of been able to have the freedom to walk and explore our hills of mid wales, straight from your door..and only 45 mins to visit the seaside of Aberystwth.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
