The Donkey Dairy is one of a kind! Nestled on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, this working donkey farm is home to a variety of friendly farm animals. On your visit you will be greeted by our alpacas, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and even camels. If you would like to replace your cell phone’s morning alarm with the crowing of roosters or replace the hooting of cars with the braying of donkeys, the solar powered Donkey Dairy Cottage is the place for you! Spoil yourself in our well equipped private ,peaceful Ziggysriver cottage on the banks of the Magalies River. Plenty of birdlife plus the resident Finfoot. Wake up to the sounds of nature and explore the trail of +-9 km , walking, cycling or birding. Visit Sterkfontein Caves and the Maropeng World Heritage Site in the Cradle of Humankind. Enjoy a dip in the cold water splash pool on a hot summers day ( Note the splash pool is closed from 30 April- 30 September) or sit by the open fire .

No additional- or day visitors allowed. Possibility of noise from the resort, golf course and building activities.

Ideal for a small family, couple, or those wanting a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of busy city life. Outside, guests can enjoy braai facilities. The resort offers guests access to communal swimming pools, putt-putt, a kiddies' play park, tennis court, and outdoor giant chess. There are also hiking trails and a riverine with beautiful rock pools nearby for guests to enjoy.

Close to features like Hartbeespoortdam Cableway, French Toast (Little Paris), Pretville, the Elephant and Monkey Sanctuary etc. This bachelor unit does have a loadshedding solution, with a small electric footprint - electric blanket for the winter.
