The words most often used by guests to describe the environment are serene and tranquil – a real escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. We have direct access to the renowned Tarka Trail via a private track in the grounds. You can walk to it without having to go on a road and then you are on a lovely 35 mile cycle/ footpath.

The Old Printers

Enjoy staying in The Old Printers flat, centrally located in Great Torrington. A short flat walk to the centre of the town with all its shops and cafes including The Plough Arts Centre. Set above New street at the front you can watch the world go by and also enjoy amazing views towards the coast. To the west the view is of the beautiful historic church and church yard. The Old Printers is newly refurbished to a high standard. It is stylishly decorated and has a modern bright relaxed atmosphere.

Organic farm Shepherd's Hut with a view

You will find ‘The Leveret’ our shepherds hut, on our family run organic farm.  With lovely views across the Torridge valley and beyond to Dartmoor, it is a perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature.  The farm has a mixture of meadows for our cattle and sheep, woodlands and arable and veg fields and is a haven for wildlife. Enjoy a bbq at the fire pit with complimentary wood and charcoal. The excellent local pub at Sheepwash is a 1.5 mile walk through farm lanes and quiet country lanes.

The property has its own cottage garden as well as a private riverbank woodland from where you can fish - or relax by the water and watch the local wildlife.
