Maximum 4 guests plus 1 dog. This cottage is located near Coopers Green Park along the shores of Halfmoon Bay and the Strait of Georgia. ‘The Rustic Cabin’ was built in the late 60’s as a weekend getaway. Located a 15 minute drive from Sechelt, the Welcome Woods cabin maintains much of the eclectic building style common on the Coast in that era. Most similar dwellings are long gone. It’s a perfect location with Sargeant Bay, Fullerton Beach and Welcome Woods Market, all within a 15 minute walk or short drive. Across the street are kilometres of hiking, and biking trails. Our family has enjoyed the quiet area since 2007.

Come and experience this very private original/rustic (never been touched in over 70 years) cottage sitting on a rock promenade with gentle sloping ramp access to the historic Halfmoon Bay beach. (It's all yours, walk kilometers in either direction). Situated on the southern shore of Halfmoon Bay protected from wind, the setting enjoys the full benefits of a western exposure with unbelievable sunset views, swimming, boating, etc.

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.
