The Stables

The original stable to historic 160 year old Telegraph House has been renovated to a self contained one bedroom guesthouse with new en-suite , living area and well equipped kitchenette with fridge, microwave, cooktop and coffee machine. The living area has a wood burner fireplace, table and chairs, sofa, television, internet (NBN) and French doors opening onto verandah. The property has a secure yard and stall for a horse - $20 per night - and plenty of secure off street parking for a rig.

We are ideally situated for those who need to break their journey. We are approximately an 7 1/2 hour drive from Brisbane and 4 1/2 hours from Sydney and we are located 2 minutes off the New England Highway. It is a fully self contained, air conditioned cottage with a large bedroom, separate bathroom, lounge & fully equipped kitchen, situated in a quiet rural environment. There is a local pub which serves evening meals Tuesday to Sunday and great cafes nearby in Quirindi and Willow Ttree.

Nestled in a serene courtyard, our petite two story studio offers a cosy, private getaway. Downstairs there is a kitchenette, single bed, chairs and bathroom. Upstairs (accessed by external stairs) there is a Queen bedroom with an RV type convenience potty, for when you’re busting at midnight 🫣. Enjoy meals on the sprawling veranda, a swim on hot days, a wood-fire on cold days or a short walk for a pub meal. My residence is across the veranda, but your space is private during your stay.

It provides a secluded and quiet stay for families or small groups of 6 to get away from it all in comfort and luxury. Beautifully furnished with restored and vintage furniture and a carefully curated selection of artwork and treasures. For the winter months there is a cosy wood burning heater and an outdoor fire pit .

Little House in the Nursery happily sustainable

Only a little off the beaten track but a long way from worry. An old stable in the middle of an operating native seed farm, rebuilt almost entirely with repurposed materials to accommodate our children and their families when they come to stay. Comfortable, welcoming and idiosyncratic and, at the same time, highly functional and almost bullet proof. In the style of the country but definitely not Country Style. Live inside, live outside and expect to be part of whatever is happening!
