Come to relax in a serene setting, surrounded by hundred- year-old live oaks. Jean Lafitte properties follow along the Bayou Barataria which is rich with the best, freshest seafood. There are nearby bayous and lakes for fishing and water sports. Local adventures include swamp tours, chartered fishing excursions, nature trails, and nearby boat launch access. The house, located just 25 miles from the New Orleans French Quarter and Bourbon Street is a perfect getaway for festivals and Mardi Gras.

This is our family cottage home in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is newly renovated, and decorated. We occasionally open it to all responsible, respectful, adult guest who abide by the house rules. No outside guest allowed after check in. It is 6.7 miles/15 minute drive to New Orleans/ French Quarter. We live next door. Absolutely no parties/ Booking Person must be the guest/ no more than 3 guest ever. We may ask for ID. If unsure. before you will be given the key. Wifi and Netflix.

All are welcome to enjoy our Art House, full of light, color and art, just two blocks from the beautiful French Quarter via the Algiers ferry. Once you are nestled snugly in New Orleans' second oldest neighborhood, lovely Algiers Point, you will delight in the original artwork created by your host artist, and in the historic architecture, as you stroll our quaint streets and enjoy restaurants and bars just steps from the Art House, and along the walking path by the mighty Mississippi River.

Family Home in Mid-City New Orleans

Welcome to the Crayon Box! Your family will be close to everything when you stay at our centrally located home in Mid-City. Near the Canal Streetcar, just off highway I-10, walking distance to restaurants/bars and very close to City Park. 3 blocks from Endymion parade route! We are kid friendly and can provide books and toys. Queen size mattress. Additional air mattress upon request. The back yard is completely fenced and is shaded by beautiful 100 year old oak trees. I also allow guest to bring a pet with a $50 fee. Pet should weigh under 30 pounds.
