My home is in the lovely Westend area of Barry, a leafy suburb 5 minutes from the beautiful beaches and coastline. It’s a large Victorian house built in 1869 and retains its period features. Holiday Apartment at Sand Bay

This first-floor apartment faces the beach at Kewstoke, with views directly across the Bristol Channel to Cardiff and the islands of Flat Holm and Steep Holm. The living-room area and the larger bedroom feature patio doors which open onto the balcony, which faces west and is ideal for watching the sunset on summer evenings. Sand Bay is a stretch of unspoilt beach, very tranquil, but there are pubs and restaurants within walking distance, and a bus into the nearby town of Weston-Super-Mare.
