A beautiful refurbished 120 year old Shepard’s Cottage situated high up with views of Glen Urquhart and Loch Meikle. The cottage is unique in that it benefits from guaranteed peace and tranquillity. It is situated within a private hill side farmers field, with foot access to the cottage from a private parking bay, the parking bay being roadside (100m walk). Situated in the heart of the Highlands. 4 miles from Loch Ness. Horse trekking, boating, hiking, skiing etc. are available nearby.

Secluded Ptarmigan Yurt

For the first time since we installed it we are opening for the winter months as there are a lot of people around and the weather at the moment is quite warm. To do this we have installed a small oil heater which will keep the temperature up even when the fire is not lit. Once you light the fire it will be really cosy and warm. There is also an electric blanket on the bed for those colder nights. We do reserve the right to move you to the house if the weather becomes inclement.

Urquhart Bay Barn, situated at the Urquhart Bay Viewpoint, is a charming and spacious self-catering renovation, with two bedrooms (one can be either two single beds or a king size bed), completed to a very high standard, with stunning views across Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart from the dining area window and gardens. We are just a few minutes walk from the iconic Urquhart Castle. The Barn itself is built with stone taken from Urquhart Castle in the late 1800s.

Meiklie Lodge offers the larger family or group a fantastic holiday experience. With 4 bedrooms Meiklie Lodge sleeps 8 very comfortably and is an ideal base for your family and friends holiday here in the very heart of the highlands. The lodge has under floor heating, two good sized bathrooms . Sky + TV, loads of DVDs The kitchen has a large dining table to seat 8, a range style cooker, dishwasher, microwave, 2 fridges and a freezer.

This private Cottage is right on the banks of the world famous Loch Ness, including 2 private beaches just for you. Unlike many Loch Ness cottages, we are not on a road, just the garden between us and the Loch. You’ll love the panoramic views of Loch Ness, the idyllic location, private beaches, and total peace and quiet. 1 or 2 well behaved dogs (small or medium size) welcome. In July and August, Saturday arrivals/departures only.
